Chicago Chicago

Having been warned about horrible traffic getting out of New York, we got up at 5:15 and left as quickly as possible.  We took four days traveling to the Chicago area.  We had overnighters in  Pennsylvania, Ohio, & Indiana.

We arrived at our friend's house in Frankfort, IL (south of Chi-town) where we spent four days with the trailer parked in her driveway.  It was great schmoozing and catching up on the latest happenings.  We spent one day visiting Judy’s twin brother and sister-in-law who we saw at our grandson’s Bar Mitzvah five weeks ago in MA.  We also visited their second home in Lake Geneva, IL.  As usual we got to eat at restaurants that aren’t out west.  We had great burgers at Fuddruckers that used to be in Bakersfield, ate fantastic Italian beef sandwiches and great Jewish deli fare, to mention a few.  Sunday we said our goodbyes and are off to friends in the Minneapolis, MN area.

People are always asking if Judy and her twin brother look alike.  What do you think?

When the economy is tanking you have to be innovative as this motel is doing by trying to make ends meet (or could it be fronts)?
